At Visual Advantage we are first and foremost a team. Throughout the years we have carefully selected individuals who continue to build on our foundation of a team oriented company. Our ability to work well together transfers to an ability to work cohesively with trial teams. We regularly establish ourselves as a trusted and capable member of litigation teams.

Lisa arrived on the demonstrative design and trial presentation scene while the industry was still in its infancy. She was intrigued by the possibilities of combining litigation, technology and visual communications, which ultimately lead to the formation of Visual Advantage in 1996. During her second year in business, she assisted the prosecution team in the Oklahoma City bombing trial of Timothy McVeigh. This experience sealed her fate and she knew Visual Advantage was going to become the industry leader. Through the years, Lisa has learned to recognize great talent and has successfully built a staff of trial presenters and designers who are considered leaders in the field.

Best known for her ability to create order from chaos, Lisa spends several hours every week interacting with lawyers preparing to go to trial. As the President of Visual Advantage and Senior Visual Strategist, Lisa thrives under the pressure of being creative in the not so creative world of litigation. After 18 years in the industry, Lisa has had experience in all types of civil litigation, including medical malpractice, intellectual property, anti-trust, employment and environmental practice areas.

Dan has worked on more than 50 cases and has been a trial presenter for over 25 cases that have gone to verdict. A Denver native, Alain joined the Visual Advantage team permanently after assisting on several complex cases requiring specialized comprehension and visualization. With 15 years of experience across many different platforms such as print/digital/photo/music/video he is an exceptional addition to the company.

From early in life Alain has admired everything visual, from colors and patterns in nature to eye-catching layouts. At the age of 15 this admiration flourished when he got his first computer and he was able to channel his visual creativity. His passion for nature, science, photography and art, became limitless.

Before Visual Advantage, Alain designed marketing and promotional graphics for the University of Colorado Athletic Department. During his tenure with the CU Buffs he created posters, ads, billboards, murals, stadium signage and much more.

Alain’s organic approach to data visualization and his propensity to gain a deep understanding of legal concepts so they can be accurately interpreted into easy-to-understand demonstratives makes him a key designer at Visual Advantage.

Outside of work, you might find Alain working in his garden, exploring the natural world or fueling his ongoing passion for design.

Jane is new to the Visual Advantage team, but is not new to the Visual Advantage concept. She has worked with Visual Advantage, as a client, for the past ten years. She now welcomes the opportunity to be part of the team that has assisted her in preparing for many trials over the years.

Jane brings with her a knowledge base built from years of working as a nurse-paralegal for various law firms in the Denver area. Jane also successfully managed her own medical-legal consulting business for several years. Her legal experience in civil litigation has been focused primarily in the area of medical malpractice. She has assisted attorneys with over 30 trials, and has managed large volumes of documents, especially medical records, for hundreds of other cases. Over the years Jane has also worked on cases involving products liability issues, and recently gained experience in the area of employment law.

Before beginning her career as a nurse-paralegal, Jane had received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa. She then went on to become a registered nurse, working in various areas of nursing to include adult intensive care, renal dialysis, and newborn/neonatal care. Jane later found that a career in law blended nicely with her nursing background.
